Matilda had her four-month checkup today. True, she's closer to five months old...but I do the best I can.
Tilda is a ridiculously happy baby. She was asleep when the nurse called us back. As I unhooked her from her carseat she groggily opened her eyes and started laughing. She laughed as I undressed her, laughed when her head and height were measured, and laughed when I set her on the scale. Our doctor came in and she laughed. She laughed as her eyes and ears were checked and actually guffawed when the doctor held down her tongue to check her throat.
She got two shots - one in each leg. With the first shot she stopped laughing. With the second, she started yelling. Then the nurse put bandaids on her legs and - you guessed it - that got her started laughing again.
Matilda checked out as perfectly healthy and right on track with her development. I feel so blessed by this kid!
Happy May Day! Kourtney and Katie, I always think of you on May 1!

The last time I saw Matilda she was just barely beginning to smile. I can't wait to see and hear her laugh.
Yay for healthy and happy babies. It does not get any better!!
I miss May Day! Putting baskets at the Bermels and the Suprenants and then running like crazy. Promise me we'll do that again once I move down!
Ha ha ha!! I think I might just be tired, but my mind immediately went to the police being called about two grown women scampering through someone's front bushes. Oh...I can't stop laughing.
