Papa came over today to work in the garage with Eric. As always, he came bearing gifts, two of which were new pajama sets for the kids. Grandma Susan just had to buy them and wanted the kids to get them right away. Matilda's is a ridiculously cute set with ruffled shorts and happy pigs. Sam got a t-shirt and pants covered in Lightning McQueen.
I asked Sam if he wanted to write a thank you note for Grandma Susan. He became very excited. I got a card and Sam provided the dictation.
"Dear Grandma Susan, happy birthday. Thank you for my jammies. Thank you Tilda jammies. I like them. I like the cars."
I left enough room for him to sign the card himself.
Other than the confusing "happy birthday," I think Sam did a great job with his first thank you card!
