I'm giving a lot of homemade Christmas gifts this year so I'm already spending a lot of time working on them. I was talking to Sam about my latest project. I thought I'd expand a little on Christmas and presents, so I said we give each other presents because we are all celebrating Jesus' birthday.
"Christmas is Jesus' birthday?" Sam said.
A little horrified, I replied, "Yes. Christmas is when we celebrate the day Jesus was born."
"Oh," Sam said as he turned away. "I thought Christmas was Santa's birthday."
FAIL.

I think we scarred Sam for life when we took him to see Santa Claus when he was 9 1/2 months old. Of course he's going to be confused!
Jesus thinks it's funny. At least I hope He does.
