A life without ice cream is a life not worth living. That's my personal belief, although my kids are denied most sweets. I'm an adult and can eat whatever I want, so I do.
Eric is working today and the kids and I have been playing since 7 am. We were getting a little restless. We wandered into the kitchen and I had a sudden inspiration. "Sam!" I cried. "Let's have ice cream cones!!"
Sam gasped, smiled, and then became serious. "Mama, are you just teasing?" he asked warily.
I knelt down in front of him so we were eye-to-eye. "Mama never, EVER teases about ice cream," I told him.
I just spent 20 minutes on the kitchen floor eating ice cream cones with my kids. We crunched contendedly and didn't speak very much.
I think I've just started a wonderful Sunday afternoon tradition!

That's awesome.
Mmmmmm, that sounds yummy. Did Sam offer to get out the shovel to help dish it up?
LOVE it!!
