It was so nice out today! I took Sam with me when I checked the mail this afternoon. The poor little creature was so happy to be outside. He started begging to take a walk.
We went inside long enough to put on jackets and get Matilda snuggled into her stroller. Sam was so excited, he was hopping. We started up the street.
We were barely past our yard when Sam pointed at our neighbor's house. "Oooh, Mom!! A house!" he cried.
We went a few more feet. "Mom!" Sam yelled. "A tree. A tree! Ohhhh...A TREE WITH LEAVES!"
I was questioning my parenting skills (how deprived does a child have to be to get that excited about a tree?) when Sam looked up. "MOM!!" he screeched. "THE SKY!!"
Point taken, little dude. As long as it is nice out, we will be spending a lot more time outside.

I'm pretty sure I will have the same reaction when I go outside for longer than to get the mail!
