Self-Imprisonment

Sam is a better mom than I will ever be.

He is so kind to Matilda. Nearly every time she cries or asks for something he beats me to her. When she wakes up from a nap I always let her roll around and talk for a while before going in to get her. It isn't unusual for Sam to go in and keep her company until I finally show up.

Yesterday, however, I was surprised to see that Sam is no longer satisfied by talking to her through the bars of her crib.

I know these pictures are terrible. I took them on my cell phone and Matilda's bedroom is painted to resemble a dungeon.

Matilda's room does not look like a dungeon. But those are DARLING. You have such adorable kids Em.

What fun pictures! Matilda seems totally unconcerned that Sam got in her crib with her. That baby takes things in stride. Sam is such a nice brother. They're going to be buddies forever.
