Jitterbug

Matilda is happy most of the time. She tends to save her fussiness for condensed, intense crying sessions.

Short of snuggling and swinging her, I haven't had much luck calming her down during her fussy times. This morning she was being ridiculous while Sam and I were trying to play Go Fish. Out of desperation, I started singing "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" as loud as I could. She went from crying to laughing in just a second. I tried it a few more times. Every time she'd cry I'd do my best George Michael impression. She smiled and cooed and forgot all about her crabbiness.

The poor kid got my bad taste.

She also gets her bad taste from me. Coincidently, I recently watched a bio on George Michael and Wham and remembered that the Christmas of (1982?) I received TWO Wham! albums. Choose Life.

That was my favorite song win I was little. My mom used to sing it to me, too! :-)

That girl has excellent taste. You cannot go wrong with 80's music.
