A Cry For Help

Sam has always been photogenic. I thought it was just because he was a cute kid. However...

Matilda really is a pretty baby. She's chubby and happy. She is happy ALL the time. The only time her bright, beautiful smile disappears is when I get out my camera. Instead, I get something like this:

...or (oh my word), something like this:

Sure, they make me laugh hysterically, but I do wish I had a picture of my baby that I could put in a frame. She's four months old and the only picture I have of her that I really love is the one on the right of this page. She was nine days old in that picture. Grandpa Mark took that one...and the one of Sam above it...which is also my favorite picture of him...

Dad, I'm desperate. I need you to bring your camera over and work your magic again!

That second picture is hilarious!! She looks drugged - is that why she's so happy all the time?

I've decided it's because our cameras are too slow. I have taken to upping the background light and turning off the flash. It makes Grant get that look on his face too, but my camera is so darn slow pretty much all of his look like this too! LOL And it's the same with Aid....I couldn't take a bad picture of Aid if I wanted to!

I'll bring mine tomorrow....I won't do anything fabulous but I'll bring it anyway!! :)

You need an old fashioned 35 mm camera. Or buy a disposable and take 24 pictures. I guarantee one will turn out. I think the first picture is adorable!
