During our first week we played with Sam's airplane and talked about being a pilot. We sliced apples for a snack. The best part was driving to St Paul for a playdate with Aiden!
I had a lot of ideas for B but we ended up being sick for most of that week. We did, however, eat bananas and get out Sam's basketball hoop. By the end of the week we were well enough to enjoy a visit from Beckett! We made up for lost time the next week by visiting a local bakery and going to BB's to see Jackie.
The next week we ate cereal and carrots during snack time. We played with Charlie. Grandma Susan came over and helped Sam make chocolate chip cookies. She also brought some colored Easter eggs for an early egg hunt. Eric and I took both of the kids through a car wash - I don't think they'd consider that one of our highlights.
Grandma and Sam with the cookie dough. Sam takes cookies very seriously.
The letter D turned out to be much more fattening than one would imagine. Eric and I took Sam downtown. We looked at all of the buildings and talked about the Mayo Clinic where doctors work. Eric just had to finish the day with a stop at Dairy Queen. A few days later Sam helped me make rhubarb crisp for dessert. Then Grandma Susan came over again to help us bake and decorate our Easter cookies! Ugh...now I think D should be for diet!
This week, of course, is E. I can't explain how pleased I am that this week falls the week before Easter. We will be doing Easter crafts and decorating eggs all week.
I'd love any suggestions for places to go or things to do starting with letters F - Z!

Ha! Okay, Mom, I have to admit...that one made me laugh out loud.
I still think this is really fun. But I bet you have more fun erasing your calendar and getting to write the letters again! I'll try to think of some letter ideas, but I think Grandma has everyone beat!
Wow - what a great idea. Your kids are so lucky to have you as their mother. I can't wait to have kids and pick your brain for ideas.
