Picture Imperfect

I don't have much luck with my camera. It is always either lost or the batteries are dead. That's why I was so excited when I had it Christmas morning. Eric, Sam, Matilda and I gathered in our living room around the fireplace. We opened stockings and took turns opening our gifts. It was so nice.

These are the two pictures I took that morning.

Um...wow. Just...wow. I really captured the magic of the Christmas season, didn't I? A picture of Sam's back, complete with opened boxes and dirty dishes. A picture of my newborn daughter, propped and forgotten on a pillow, staring blankly into space. I can only assume it looked much different through the camera's window. I couldn't have taken these expecting them to turn out like this. Could I?

Maybe I'll find some photography classes in my stocking next year!

I know what you mean Em! During the week I hardly take pictures of my child... my daycare takes more of him than I do!

But anyway, you guys were having too much fun on your first Christmas with Matilda to take more pictures!
